LTV apie pasyvius namus

Important!

The price of 1m3 of gas supplied in Lithuania increases all year round and since 1 July the prices have changed more than during the whole year of 2010 – they changed even 20% (from LTL 1.45 to LTL 1.75).

ECOvizija suggests a solution for direct increase of gas prices. It proposes to construct only passive houses now: their economic effect only increases with each increase in price of energy sources.

Passive houses

A passive house is a standard of economy, environmental friendliness and comfort which is applied to construction of individual houses, commercial buildings and blocks of flats, renovation of any type of a house.

Energy efficiency and tightness characteristics of a passive house are strictly regulated and must comply with requirements of a German Passive House Institute. Therefore a house can only be called a passive house when the need for thermal energy whereof is lower than 15 kWh/m² and the costs of heating of a new construction house comprise 2 – 6 LTL/m², i.e. about 80% of energy for heating is saved.

Let’s make an elementary comparison. A 140m2 house uses about 400m3 of natural gas per month during the cold season. About LTL 4,500 may be needed for the whole heating season in the case of today’s gas prices. In the meantime the heating costs of the same size passive house will comprise LTL 1,060 per year. You save almost LTL 3,500 per year. Such houses already became a reality – we are constructing a block of passive

buildings Žalieji Leliai together with partners. We are ready to implement individual
orders or perform renovation of an existing building.

Passive houses can be heated using any source of energy: geothermal energy, electricity, gas, wood or wood pellets. However, it is more than just an energy efficient building. It is the whole concept including economical, healthy and safe living environment of your family:

  • Passive houses have constant micro climate; there are no drafts and temperature changes, cold corners of the house.
  • The tightness of a house not only protects from cold in winter but also from the heat in summer.
  • Maximum sound level is 25 db in a passive house – it means that sound in another room will not disturb you.
  • Ventilation system filters remove dust, pollen and other small particles from the air: it is an important advantage to people suffering from allergy.
  • CO2 is not emitted to the air during the use of an energy-efficient house therefore a passive house is environmentally friendly and ecologic.
